Strategic Planning
TRG planning is tailored to the specific operational and cultural needs of each organization. We bring the experience and the market knowledge to position organizations to achieve their strategic goals, whether updating a current strategic initiative, or implementing a new strategic plan. We help healthcare organizations develop strategies based upon analysis of current operating and balance sheet conditions to determine available options to improve the general financial condition and/or access to capital.
Business Plan Development
At the heart of a developing a business plan is having the ability to assess new or existing clinical programs with respect to their profitability and market potential. TRG has the resources and knowledge base to assist clients in optimizing the volume of activity associated with existing business lines, and counsel clients on the development of businesses which generate profitable revenue streams which are healthcare based, but may not be traditionally included in hospital or health system portfolios.
New Market / New Facility Development
As facilities age and markets change, many hospitals and health systems are looking for opportunities to diversify their payor mix and enter new markets. TRG has helped academic medical centers and community hospitals plan their new market entry. TRG helps leadership define a vision, select a market, define the appropriate range and size of services, develop the business and operational plans for the new facility, and, if necessary, develop a strategic or capital partnership for the new facility.
Academic Medical Center Differentiation
TRG offers a unique blend of experience with academic health centers and teaching hospitals. Our body of work includes focused strategic planning to help academic medical centers differentiate themselves from others in their local market, and in the national market. In addition, these efforts often involve evaluation and creation of strategic partnerships and affiliation agreements, transactions, new facility development, and faculty – hospital alignment engagements.
